SANDRA M. JONES MITCHELL

Wisdom Behind the Walls

It all started at age 14, preparing hot meals for senior citizens.
Worked at: the Cincinnati Veteran’s Hospital assisting seniors, was an Activity Coordinator in local nursing homes where Sandra realized that seniors needed a voice.
Sandra and the late Sandra L. Massey then co-founded this organization.

Received her Marketing Management degree from Cincinnati State and her BA in Gerontology from the Cincinnati College of Mount Saint Joseph

April 2019, she will retire from Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services after 30 years of advocating for inclusion for people with intelligence disabilities.

She has been a tireless advocate, has served on several boards and volunteer opportunities. Received numerous award for her mission to serve the elderly and the community.

An active member of Corinthian Baptist Church and the wife to Robert L. Mitchell, blended family of seven children and 10 grandchildren.
